These Standards for Mathematical Practice posters are a simple, no-prep way to get all 8 mathematical practices up on your walls and in front of your students all year. Print them once, laminate them if you want, and you’re done. They come in two sizes so you can decide what works best for your space.

If you’ve ever had a student ask “why do we have to show our work?” or “why does it matter if I can explain my thinking?”, having these posted somewhere visible gives you something to point to. It also helps students start to internalize the habits of mind that make them stronger math students over time, not just students who can follow steps.
