Hi, I'm Malia

My Own Math Struggle

In 8th grade, I was pushed into Algebra 1 before I was ready. I ended the year with a D and was told I “just wasn’t good at math.” Ouch.

The next year, I retook the course and finished with a 103%. The difference? The teacher. That experience showed me I wasn’t bad at math, I just needed someone who explained it in a way that clicked and go me excited to learn more.

Why I Became a Teacher

From Teacher to Resource Creator

When I returned to teach at my old middle school, I found the same outdated textbooks I had used as a student… 13 years prior. My students deserved better, so I started creating updated lessons and activities.

During the pandemic, I shared those resources on Teachers Pay Teachers to help teachers during that chaotic time in education’s history. Today, they’ve grown into a collection used by thousands of math teachers to save time and help students succeed.

I know what it feels like to spend hours planning, only to wonder if your students will actually connect with the lesson. That’s why I create Algebra resources that are ready to use, student-friendly, and designed to save YOU time.

Whether you’re looking for a quick activity, a full-year bundle, or a free resource to make tomorrow’s lesson easier, you’ll find it here!
