EDITABLE Slope from Graphs, Tables, and 2 Points Christmas Tree Tessellation Activity

$3.00

Description

This editable slope review lets students solve problems from points, tables, and graphs, then build a collaborative Christmas tree tessellation. Print the pieces or edit the PowerPoint file to fit your class.

This slope review activity gives students a hands-on way to practice finding slope from points, tables, and graphs. Students solve each problem on a triangle, color the piece, and add it to the growing class tessellation. The final display creates a collaborative Christmas tree made from everyone’s finished work. An editable PowerPoint file is included so you can adjust the problems, add support, or change the difficulty for your students.

How It Works

Print the tessellation pages or open the editable PowerPoint file to make changes before printing. Students solve the slope problem on each section and write the answer in the box. Once all pieces are solved and colored, students cut out their triangles and help assemble the class Christmas tree display on a bulletin board or wall. The answer key makes checking quick, and the collaborative design brings all the pieces together into one final picture.

The editable PowerPoint file allows you to customize the slope problems for different levels or groups. Once completed, the triangle pieces combine to create a collaborative class tessellation that becomes a seasonal bulletin board display your students will love contributing to.

Ways to Use

You can use this activity by giving each student one or two slope triangles to solve, color, and cut out. After students finish, they bring their completed pieces to the front of the room and help build the class Christmas tree tessellation on a bulletin board. As the tree takes shape, students can compare slopes from different representations and see how their individual piece fits into the full class display.

Here’s what is included:

➡️ 3 Blank tessellation pieces (2 per page)

➡️ 18 questions total – 6 graphs, 6 tables, 6 sets of points

➡️ Editable Version – PowerPoint file

➡️ Teacher directions

➡️ An answer key
