Description
Help Algebra 1 students practice identifying and calculating slope and y-intercept from linear equations with this self-checking digital pixel art activity. Students work with equations written in slope-intercept form and standard form, requiring them to solve for slope and y-intercept—not just recognize them.
As students enter correct answers, the pixel art image gradually appears. Incorrect answers do not reveal pixels, prompting students to slow down, check their work, and self-correct. This low-prep activity is ideal for independent practice, review, or assessment in both in-person and digital classrooms.
How It Works
Students solve linear equations to determine the slope and y-intercept. Each correct answer reveals a portion of the pixel art image. If an answer is incorrect, no pixels appear, giving students immediate feedback without interrupting instruction.
